Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between gear drive, robot and compact?
All three variants are based on the same servo-driven gear metering technology with Siemens S7-1500 control. The mastermix gear drive is the standard system with material supply from a 200 l drum (A component) and a 20 l hobbock (B component). The robot is prepared for integration into automated cells with a robot or linear gantry. The compact is the space-saving, mobile variant with 20 l hobbocks for the A and B component. You will find a direct comparison in the variant overview on this page.
Which container sizes are available?
Standard for the gear drive and robot is a 200 l drum for the A component and a 20 l hobbock for the B component, for the compact 20 l hobbocks for both components. Per component, containers from 600 ml foil bag up to 1,000 l IBC are possible. Common combinations include 20 l/20 l, 20 l/600 ml, 200 l/600 ml, 200 l/200 l or 1,000 l/200 l. Which combination makes sense depends on material and consumption, we are happy to advise you.
Which adhesives and sealants can the system process?
The mastermix gear drive processes 2K adhesives and sealants such as silicones, polyurethanes, MS polymers, epoxy resins, polysulfides, methacrylates (MMA) and booster systems.
How much maintenance does the system need?
The system has an open, easily accessible design without unnecessary covers. This reduces downtime and greatly simplifies maintenance. Optional maintenance contracts with predictable costs are available.
How quickly is the system available?
Depending on availability about 1 week from stock, or 8 to 12 weeks for new production. For special configurations the lead time can be up to 20 weeks.
Service across the entire lifecycle
Maintenance contracts with predictable costs, fast spare parts supply from stock and free remote support, directly from the manufacturer.
