Ram Pumps
Powerful Delivery from Original Containers
Ram pumps are essential components in industrial dispensing technology. They enable direct material extraction from original containers such as 20-liter hobbocks or 200-liter drums. For pasty materials, they are typically used with a follower plate, while a suction tube is used for low-viscosity media.
- High delivery pressure: Ram pumps reach pressures of up to 360 bar, making them ideal for viscous, high-viscosity 1C or 2C adhesives and sealants.
- Used in every one of our systems: Every one of our mixing and metering systems feeds material from the original container using ram pumps. In the gear drive series they supply the gear metering pumps; on the monoflow 20 and monoflow 200 they deliver directly to the dispensing gun.
- Robust and low-maintenance: The design is built for durability and minimal maintenance – ideal for continuous industrial use in automated and manual dispensing systems.
How the Technologies Work Together
The material flow in our gear metering systems – from the monoflow gear drive to the mastermix gear drive family:
Material Feed with Ram Pumps
Pneumatically driven ram pumps deliver the material from the original container – from 20-liter hobbocks to 200-liter drums – to the metering unit.
Precise Metering with Gear Pumps
Servo-driven gear metering pumps meter continuously, pulsation-free and with volumetric flow control.
Learn moreMonitoring with Flow Sensors
Directly after metering, flow sensors continuously monitor the material flow – and with it the mixing ratio and metering volume.
Learn moreApplication via the Material Valve
1C systems use a 1C material valve; 2C systems use a 2C material valve with a static mixer for homogeneous mixing.
To mixing technologyOur piston metering systems also feed material from the original container using ram pumps – but meter differently: On the monoflow 20 and monoflow 200, the ram pump delivers directly to the dispensing gun. On the mastermix XS and mastermix XS 2K, it delivers the A component directly to the gun or mixer, while the B component is added by a downstream piston metering pump at a fixed mixing ratio of 10:1 or 5:1.
Systems with Ram Pump
All our systems feed material from the original container using ram pumps – three examples:
1C piston metering system
monoflow 20
Delivers directly from the 20-liter hobbock to the dispensing gun – delivery and metering in one.

1C piston metering system
monoflow 200
Delivers directly from the 200-liter drum to the dispensing gun – for reliable continuous operation.

2C gear metering system
mastermix gear drive
Here, ram pumps handle the material feed to the servo-driven gear metering pumps.
